Andrea Dennis

Andrea Dennis has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Andrea is currently working as a Guide at Climate Wisdom Fellowship since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of People and Culture at Earthshot Labs from November 2021. Andrea'srole at Earthshot Labs involved utilizing AI to promote land regeneration and developing land restoration and carbon projects globally.

Before joining Earthshot Labs, Andrea worked as the Director of Environmental Education at Friends of the Parks from October 2019 until December 2021. Andrea played a key role in promoting environmental education initiatives during their time there.

Andrea also served as an Executive Board Member at the Chicago Fair Trade from January 2013 to June 2021. Andrea was actively involved in fundraising, organization advocacy, and providing financial oversight.

From August 2006 to August 2019, Andrea worked as the Director of Development, Outreach, Visibility, and Engagement at Greenheart International. Andrea contributed to the growth and success of the organization, overseeing marketing, outreach, and fundraising departments. Andrea also initiated service-learning opportunities for exchange students and community outreach programs for Chicago youth.

Andrea has a passion for volunteering and has been involved in various organizations. Andrea served as a Volunteer at Caring Companions from May 2011 to November 2016 and as a Volunteer at Big Brothers Big Sisters from October 2011 to June 2015.

Additionally, Andrea held the roles of Yoga and Meditation Instructor at Yoga Studios and Greenheart Trips from February 2012 to August 2016 and Board Member at Chicago Social Enterprise Alliance from January 2012 to June 2015.

To start their career, Andrea worked as a Communications Assistant at World Chicago from January 2006 to May 2006.

Andrea Dennis completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International/Global Studies, Political Science, and Black World Studies from Loyola University Chicago between 2002 and 2006. In 2010 and 2011, they obtained certifications as a Meditation Instructor from Chopra Center Certifications and as a 200 Hour Certified Registered Yoga Teacher from Yoga Now Chicago. Andrea attended Archbishop McNicholas High School, but it is not specified when they attended or if they obtained a degree from there. Most recently, in 2017, they pursued studies at the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, though the specific degree or field of study is not known.
