Luke Davies

Luke Davies possesses extensive experience in operations standards and compliance within the railway industry, currently serving as Operations Standards and Compliance Manager at East Midlands Railway since November 2019, with a previous role as Interim Head of Safety. Prior to this, Luke held senior positions at Hitachi Rail Europe from November 2015 to November 2019, leading a team of learning and development specialists and managing apprenticeship programs. Additional experience includes serving as a Learning and Development Specialist at Tyne & Wear Metro/DB Regio from March 2010 to November 2015, where responsibilities included training train drivers and designing refresher courses. Luke began his career as a Train Driver, Instructor, and Assessor, emphasizing safety and efficiency in train operations. Educationally, Luke holds a BA in Archaeology from the University of Nottingham, obtained between 2006 and 2009.
