Simon Pready

Simon Pready is a seasoned professional in the rail industry with extensive experience in commercial strategy, asset management, and financial planning. Currently serving as the Commercial Director at East Midlands Railway since September 2022, Simon oversees a broad commercial portfolio aimed at revenue growth, fleet refurbishment, and stakeholder engagement. Prior roles include Head of Asset Strategy at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, where Simon led a team responsible for a strategic asset plan with an €800 million budget, and significant positions at Abellio Group, including Bid Director for multiple successful rail franchise bids. Simon holds an ACMA CGMA qualification and a BSocSc in Mathematical Economics from the University of Birmingham.
