Sharon Thompson

Sharon Thompson has extensive experience in both education and athletics, currently serving as the Dean of Students, Director of Athletics, and Head Women's Basketball Coach at East Mississippi Community College since April 2005. Prior to this, Sharon held the position of an elected Board Member with the Sumter County Board of Education from November 2004 to October 2016. Sharon's athletic career includes playing professional basketball in both the American Basketball League and the Italian Basketball League from 1998 to 2000. Academically, Sharon earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Mississippi State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching, also in Physical Education, from The University of West Alabama.
