Chief Of Party, Usaid Judicial System Strengthening Activity at East-West Management Institute

Sonja Prostran has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Sonja is currently serving as the Chief of Party for the USAID Judicial System Strengthening Activity at East-West Management Institute. Prior to this, Sonja worked as a Board Member at IACA and held the position of Component Leader at Development Professionals Inc. Sonja also worked as a Senior Commercial Justice Consultant at The World Bank Treasury and as a Short Term Senior Expert at British Council. Sonja has extensive experience in the justice sector, having worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist and a Senior Legal Adviser at World Bank Group, MDTF - JSS. Sonja has also served as a Judge/Deputy Court President at Belgrade First Basic Court and as a Judge at Second Municipal Court in Belgrade. Additionally, Sonja has held the positions of Deputy Chief of Party and Task Manager at East West Management Institute and was a Board Member at YIHR.

Sonja Prostran earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Law from the University of Belgrade, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Sonja later pursued a Master's degree in Humanitarian and Human Rights Law at the same university, from 2005 to 2006.
