Philip Evans

Philip Evans is a seasoned professional in tourism and enterprise, currently serving as the Senior Head of Tourism and Enterprise at Eastbourne Borough Council since February 2015, overseeing various aspects of tourism services, marketing, and events while being part of the Corporate Management Team. Additionally, Philip has held the position of Head of Policy and Analysis at VisitEngland since January 2010, and previously contributed to the Greater London Authority from February 2003 to December 2009 as Senior Projects and Performance in Tourism and Business Support, where responsibilities included shaping the London Tourism Strategy. Philip's earlier experience includes managing the Tourism and International Links Team at Southwark Council from March 1999 to February 2003. Academically, Philip holds an MA in Area Studies from Birkbeck/LSE, a Post Graduate Diploma in Land Resource Planning from Cranfield University, and a BSc in Environmental Planning and Design from Aston University.
