James F. Dunn

Director, Engineering at Easterly Government Properties

Mr. Dunn serves as Director of Engineering and technical advisor to the Asset Management team for Easterly Government Properties.

Mr. Dunn is responsible for the technical oversite and support of the firm’s east coast portfolio, which includes the effective use of capital and planning, the mechanical operations, and tenant satisfaction.

Mr. Dunn has over 30 years of experience managing large real estate portfolios, including providing direction for new construction, restorations, acquisitions, and new business transitions. Prior to joining Easterly, Mr. Dunn was Director of Engineering for CBRE, responsible for the oversight of nearly 35 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial properties. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Dunn was the Executive Director of Resort Engineering and Property Management for Benchmark Hospitality & Omni Hotels provided oversite of the 2,200-acre historic restoration of Bedford Springs. Early in Mr. Dunn’s career, he was responsible for the coordination and acceptance of over 200 newly constructed hotels including oversight of the engineering operations.

Mr. Dunn is a veteran of the United States Air Force, received his RPA, FMA, and SMA BOMI designations from the Building Owners Management Institute in Annapolis, Maryland and a CFM designation from the American Hotel Lodging Association.
