Balqis al-Shafei

Balqis Al-Shafei began their work experience in 2018 as a Student Ambassador at Cuyahoga Community College. In this role, they conducted research on student retention rates and success rates of certain classes. Balqis also conducted surveys to gather information about the student experience and worked closely with the Metropolitan Campus President.

In 2019, Balqis became the President of Student Government at Cuyahoga Community College, where they gained leadership skills and experiences. Balqis held this role until 2020.

At Baldwin Wallace University, Balqis worked as a Business Student from 2021 to 2022. Additionally, they served as a Peer Career Advisor, providing assistance to students in creating resumes, applying for jobs and internships, and advising them in choosing the right career path and interview skills. Balqis also built personal connections with students to help alleviate any anxiety they may have regarding their professional careers.

In 2022, Balqis worked at SAMP Health as a Medical Office Manager for a few months.

Currently, Balqis is employed as a Sales and Services Assistant II at Eastern Bank starting in 2023.

Balqis Al-Shafei began their education journey at Cuyahoga Community College from 2018 to 2020, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Associates of Arts. Following this, they enrolled at Baldwin Wallace University in 2021 and is expected to complete their Bachelor of Arts in Marketing/Marketing Management, General in 2022.
