J A Sukhtankar

J A Sukhtankar has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. J A'smost recent role is Chief Financial Officer at Eastern Condiments Pvt Ltd. Prior to that, they served as the General Manager of Finance & Group Reporting at MTR FOODS PRIVATE LTD for over a decade.

Before joining MTR Foods, Sukhtankar was the CFO of two Iffco group companies in Malaysia, where they were responsible for managing a team of 35 members and overseeing finance, legal, commercial, and supply chain functions. During this time, they focused on increasing capacity utilization and ensuring gross margin stability.

J A'sprevious experience includes roles as Head of Finance - Snacking & International Business, Treasury Manager, and Assistant Accounts Manager at Britannia Industries Limited. J A played a key role in setting up the Snacking Business on a pan India basis and funded two overseas acquisitions. Additionally, they managed the treasury surplus and was involved in decision-making regarding credit facilities and financial institutions.

Earlier in their career, Sukhtankar worked at Tata Cummins Limited as a Team Leader in Finance, where they were responsible for monitoring capital expenditure and establishing finance controls. J A also served as an Internal Auditor at Union Carbide India Limited and worked as a Junior Audit Manager at Lovelock & Lewes Chartered Accountants Calcutta.

Sukhtankar began their career as an Articled Clerk at B.M.Chatrath & Co Chartered Accountants.

J A Sukhtankar began their education by attending St Xaviers Collegiate School in Calcutta from 1981 to 1983. Here, they pursued a degree in ICSE, focusing on Business/Commerce. Following this, from 1983 to 1988, Sukhtankar attended St. Xavier's College, where they obtained a BCom(Hons) degree with a specialization in Finance, Commerce, Accounts, and Tax. Finally, from 1988 to 1991, they enrolled in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, completing the program and becoming a Fellow Chartered Accountant.
