Matthew Rishell

Matthew Rishell currently serves as an Advocacy and Amplification Specialist at the Eastern Congo Initiative, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Matthew worked as a Hydrological Survey Technician at Gahagan and Bryant Associates, Inc. from May 2023 to August 2023. Matthew has significant experience in youth ministry, evidenced by the role as Director of Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg, where engagement in youth programs increased from 5 to over 70 participants. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Relations and Affairs from Durham University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Law from Susquehanna University. Additional experiences include founding the Lewisburg branch of Young Life, co-founding the Pangea Project to support refugees, and serving as a Research Assistant and Data Manager during undergraduate studies, where Matthew honed skills in data analysis and public speaking.
