Head Of Quantitative Portfolio Strategy at Eastspring Investments

Jerry Chee started their work experience in 2011 as an Equity Research Sales at Morgan Stanley. Jerry later worked at Enterprise Singapore in the Public Policy sector, where they originated policy papers and engaged with trade associations. Jerry then moved to Eastspring Investments as a Quantitative Equities Portfolio Specialist, where they conducted performance and risk attribution, created pitch books, and provided market commentary. After that, they worked at Temasek in Portfolio Strategy & Risk, where they developed analytical frameworks and conducted research on equity and performance topics. Jerry then joined GIC as part of the Total Portfolio Investment Risk team, where they supported risk advisory and incorporated risk models for portfolio risk management. Currently, they are working at Eastspring Investments as the Lead of Quantitative Portfolio Strategy, managing a team and overseeing multiple funds with a significant amount of assets under management.

Jerry Chee received their Bachelor of Business Management degree in Quantitative Finance from Singapore Management University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Before that, they attended Victoria Junior College from 2005 to 2006, focusing on Further Mathematics, Math, Physics, and Economics. In addition to their formal education, Jerry also holds several certifications in various fields. These include Machine Learning for Business Professionals from Coursera (obtained in May 2020), Foundations of Amazon S3 from Amazon (obtained in March 2020), Data Science and Data Engineering from Data Science Dojo (obtained in November 2019), SQL for Data Science from Coursera (obtained in October 2019), Data Modeling for Qlik Sense from Qlik (obtained in June 2019), Create visualizations with Qlik Sense from Qlik (obtained in May 2019), Appointed Representative for Fund Management Activities from MAS (obtained in January 2016), and Appointed Representative for Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS Module 3) from IBF Singapore (obtained in August 2015).
