Joey Tan has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2004, Joey worked as a Business Support Executive at Fujitsu Business Technologies Asia Pacific for two years. Joey then moved on to United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) as a Senior Officer for a short period before joining Franklin Templeton as an Assistant Relationship Manager from 2007 to 2009. Following this, Joey joined Singlife with Aviva as an Account Manager under the Navigator team from 2009 to 2011. Joey later returned to Singlife with Aviva in 2014, initially as a Business Development Manager for Navigator and later took on the role of Business Development Manager for the newly formed ILP Business unit at GREAT EASTERN in 2020. Currently, Joey holds the position of Intermediary Sales at Eastspring Investments, starting in 2022. Throughout Joey's career, they have been responsible for executing growth strategies, managing relationships, and driving sales initiatives to achieve revenue targets.

Joey Tan completed a Bachelor of Science in Computing with Management from the University of Bradford, which spanned from 2000 to 2002. In addition, Joey Tan has obtained several certifications and completed various courses to further their education. These include certifications such as M6a, M5, M6, M8a, M3, M8, and M9 from IBFSG - The Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore and Singapore College Of Insurance. Joey Tan also obtained a Certificate in Digital Marketing from Squared Online. They have completed courses on Digital Transformation, Customer Insights and Consumer Analytics for Organizations, Storytelling and influencing, Digital Technologies Case Studies, Intellectual Property Essentials for Business, Recruiting Talent with Social Media, Social Recruiting for Recruiters, Agile Meets Design Thinking, Application of AI, InsurTech, and Real Estate Technology, Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: An Introduction to Digital Currencies, and FinTech: Foundations, Payments, and Regulations from various institutions such as LinkedIn, Coursera, and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS).
