Luiz Pinho

Luiz Pinho has significant experience in the finance industry, with a focus on portfolio management, equity analysis, and private equity. Luiz started their career as an intern at Schroders in 2001 and later worked as a trainee at GP Investments. During their time at GP Investments, Luiz served as the Investor Relations Officer for multiple funds. Luiz then moved on to BRZ Investimentos, where they worked as a Private Equity Analyst. In 2007, they returned to Schroders as an Equity Research Analyst. After that, Luiz joined UBS Wealth Management as an Equity Research Analyst, specializing in Latin American oil and gas and utilities. Luiz later became a Brazilian Equities Specialist with UBS. Since 2014, Luiz has been with Eastspring Investments, where they serve as a Portfolio Manager and Senior Emerging Markets Equities Analyst. In this role, they lead the management of Brazilian and Latin American Equity Funds, and provides support for other Emerging Market mandates.

Luiz Pinho completed their education in a chronological order. Luiz first attended USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, General. Luiz then pursued a Master's degree at Umeå University from 2005 to 2006, studying Accounting and Finance.

In terms of certifications, Luiz Pinho obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in February 2022. Luiz also completed the Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis certification from the PRI Academy in November 2022. These certifications complement their educational qualifications and demonstrate their expertise in the field of finance.
