Director, Head Of Regional Management Reporting at Eastspring Investments

Paul Sek has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Paul is currently the Director and Head of Regional Management Reporting at Eastspring Investments, where they are responsible for monthly management reporting, forecast, and budgeting. Paul oversees financial accounting for the Eastspring Investment Group entity and manages a team of six finance professionals.

Prior to their current role, Paul worked at ING APAC for several years in different positions. Paul served as the Head of Group Reporting, where they were responsible for Head Office reporting, finance input on product approval processes, and operational finance for the Singapore branch. Paul managed a team of three on-site finance professionals and collaborated closely with an outsourced services team based in Manila.

Paul also held the positions of Head of Regional Finance MI and Deputy Head of Regional Finance MI at ING APAC. In these roles, they managed teams responsible for management reporting, financial analysis, and reporting of actuals, forecasts, and budgets. Paul worked alongside the Regional CFO and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.

Before joining ING APAC, Paul worked at DBS Bank as an Associate in Budgeting and Planning. Paul was involved in budgeting for the DBS Group and handled cost allocation work. Paul liaised with charging functions and communicated cost recharges to charge receiving functions/locations.

Earlier in their career, Paul worked as a Regional Financial Analyst at Allianz and gained experience in financial analysis within the insurance industry. Paul started their professional journey at KPMG, where they held the role of Audit Senior. During this time, they worked on external audit engagements for various clients, including insurance entities, manufacturing companies, service providers, and SGX listed companies.

Overall, Paul Sek has a strong background in financial management, reporting, analysis, and audit, with extensive experience across different industries, including investments, banking, insurance, and professional services.

Paul Sek attended St Joseph's Institution (SJI) from 1990 to 1993, where they completed their GCE O' Levels in Science. From 1994 to 1995, they attended National Junior College, where they obtained their GCE A' Levels in Commerce. Subsequently, from 1998 to 2001, Paul studied at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, earning a BAcc degree in Accountancy. More recently, in 2021 and 2022, they attended NUS Business School for a program in Fintech: Innovation and Transformation in Financial Services.
