José Ignacio started their career at Nearsoft in July 2011, initially as an intern and later as a QA. During their time at Nearsoft, they worked on various projects and tools, including the creation of the Nearsoft Academy. José Ignacio gained experience with frameworks like Grails, agile methodologies, and open-source projects.

In their early professional career, they worked as a Bug Hunter (QA Engineer) at Uwisio from November 2011 to January 2012. Here, they were responsible for continuous integration, creating test cases, and reporting bugs on the company's website.
