Syed Ahmar Nizam is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various banks. Currently serving as the Group Executive Director and Head of Branch Banking at Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited since June 2019, Nizam oversees the branch banking operations and focuses on product innovation and team development. Prior experience includes positions as Group Head of Consumer Banking at Dubai Islamic Bank, where product development and a substantial retail portfolio were managed, and General Manager at Bank Alfalah Limited, leading a large branch management team across Sindh and Balochistan. Nizam has a proven track record of enhancing banking operations at leading institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, Samba Financial Group, Citi Bank, and American Express. Academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration and a Senior Leadership Program from INSEAD.
