Alexej Schmidt has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Retail Network Management Intern at Deutsche Post, where they conducted project-related location analyses and demographic analysis. In 2013, they worked as a Bachelor Thesis Student & Freelancer at Welthungerhilfe, focusing on Google Maps and Google Earth applications in development cooperation. From 2015 to 2016, they interned as a Quality Assurance Intern at IVU Traffic Technologies. In 2016, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Kungliga tekniska högskolan and concurrently served as a Master Thesis Student at Recco AB, working on a web GIS prototype for helicopter pilots. Alexej Schmidt has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Transport & Geoinformation Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Geography & Economics from The University of Bonn from 2009 to 2013.
