Gurappa began their career in 2006 as a Software Developer consultant at Mascon Global, where they worked on FOTA solutions and integrated Redbend's SyncML DM solution onto Moto BREW. Gurappa continued to work at Mascon Global until 2011, during which time they also contributed to feature development and bug fixing for various mobile app platforms.
From 2011 to 2014, Gurappa worked as an Android developer consultant at Tech Mahindra for Motorola. In this role, they focused on developing applications such as the Motorola Device Management system and the Motorola Network Assessment enterprise application.
