Gareth Price

Gareth Price has extensive work experience in the field of functional safety and product assurance. Gareth is currently the Director of Product Assurance & Safety at Eatron Technologies since 2021. Previously, they worked as a Functional Safety Lead at Arrival from 2021 to 2021. Prior to that, Gareth served as a Functional Safety Manager at both McLaren Applied from 2019 to 2021 and Protean Electric from 2016 to 2019.

At Protean Electric, Gareth's role included managing all aspects of ISO 26262 compliance, from SEooC based Item definition and HARA to hardware and software architecture design and verification. Gareth also designed and implemented ASPICE and ISO 26262 compliant processes, ensuring product and process compliance.

Before joining McLaren Applied and Protean Electric, Gareth worked as a Senior Embedded Software Design Engineer at McLaren Electronic Systems Ltd from 2005 to 2012. Gareth also held the position of a Principal Software Engineer at Renesas Technology Europe Ltd from 1995 to 2005.

Gareth started their career as a Graduate Engineer at Defence Engineering Service in 1990, where they worked until 1993.

Gareth Price attended the University of Bristol from 1991 to 1995, where they received a BENG degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Gareth then studied at the Royal Naval Engineering College in 1990-1991 for a Sandwich Course Placement in BENG. Prior to that, they completed A Levels at Haileybury from 1985 to 1990. In 2011-2012, they obtained a CMI Diploma in Management from Kingston College. Additionally, in September 2016, they obtained an AFSP certification from SGS-TüV Saar GmbH.
