Kedar Soman

Co-founder / CTO at eBikeGo

Kedar Soman has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and related roles. Kedar began their career in 1997 as a Product Engineer at Larsen Toubro, where they developed tools for AutoCAD customization/automation in AutoLisp script and designed and developed an application for Product Data Management in MS Access. Kedar then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati from 1999 to 2001, where they designed and developed Computer Aided Analysis algorithms in Java and Matlab script. After this, they worked as a Software Engineer at DTL Moriseiki from 2001 to 2005, where they managed source code using Rational Clearcase and testing process using Rational Clearquest. From 2005 to 2009, they worked as a Software Engineer at Video Gaming Technologies, where they led integration activities of a large team, codebase management, and software development and maintenance of legacy platform using C++ as primary programming language. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tyco Fire Protection / Johnson Controls, where they developed and maintained the Fire Protection System Design software using C++ and C# and AutoDesk API for AutoCAD customization. In 2017, they began working as a Senior Consultant at PlugInIndia, where they worked as a consultant to 3 startups in the electric mobility area and with Mahindra Electric as part of EV promotion campaign. Kedar also worked with several startups/established companies for business development. That same year, they also began working as a Co-founder / CTO at eBikeGO and as a Consultant at TERI - The Energy and Resources Institute.

Kedar Soman began their educational career at Gokhale Highschool. Kedar then attended the University of Mumbai from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a B.E. in Machine Tools Engg. In 1998, they attended the National Center of Software Technology and earned a PGDCM in Software Technology. Finally, in 1999, they attended the University of Cincinnati and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering.
