Faisal Sharif

Faisal Sharif has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Faisal started their career as a Project Analyst at Mayo Clinic in 1999, where they developed GUI applications using Visual Basic and ColdFusion. Faisal then joined Cambridge Technology Partners as an Associate Developer, contributing to application development projects.

In 2001, Faisal joined QWEST COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL LTD. as a Sr. Network Planning Engineer, where they managed the loop electronics process flow and served as a subject matter expert for pair gain technology.

Faisal later worked at Raffles as a Corporate Operations Manager (Technical), where they oversaw operations for six branches and implemented various networking projects.

Faisal then joined FireEye, Inc., initially as a Senior Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented test automation for network security applications. Faisal was later promoted to Engineering Manager, responsible for managing a team of Quality Assurance Engineers and designing QA plans for major projects.

In 2009, Faisal joined Mutazo (Previously known as Ravi Labs) as a Principal Software Engineer, working on the development and synchronization service of a password manager and web form filler application called RPM.

Faisal'smost recent role was at Ebryx (Pvt.) Ltd., where they held multiple positions. As the Director of Engineering, Faisal managed organizational GRC initiatives and consulted clients on ISO 27001, GDPR, CMMI, and Security Governance. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager and an Engineering Manager, leading teams, coordinating technology selection, and overseeing development and testing processes.

Throughout their career, Faisal has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in technology selection and test automation, and effective communication with clients and management.

Faisal Sharif's education history begins in 1984 when they attended Divisional Public School and obtained their Matric (Secondary School) degree with a focus on Science. From 1986 to 1988, they attended Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) and earned an Intermediate (Higher Secondary) degree in Pre-Engineering. In 1991 and 1992, Faisal studied at Idaho State University, focusing on Engineering, although the degree obtained is not specified.

Faisal went on to attend Winona State University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Faisal later obtained a Bachelor of Science - BS degree in Computer Science from Winona State University, although the specific timeframe for this degree is not provided.

In 2006, they completed a certification in Quality Assurance from the Pakistan Institute of Management. In 2008, Faisal completed a Java Enterprise Programming certification from NetSol Technology Institute. Moving forward, in 2013 they obtained the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification from Akai Ideas (Pvt.) Ltd. Faisal also received certifications in ISO 20000 Lead Implementer from Catalyic Consulting (Pvt.) Ltd in 2016, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certification from CQI & IRCA in 2017, and GDPR awareness workshop from USAID, P@SHA, PSEB in 2018.
