Angela Alves

Angela Alves has a strong background in internal audit and risk management. Angela started their career in 1995 at GENERAL MOTORS as a Senior Auditor on Risk Management, where they gained experience in implementing and executing business risk management programs, conducting internal control reviews, and overseeing policy and procedure reviews. In 2003, they joined Lexmark as the Head of Internal Audit for the Brazil branch before progressing to roles such as Manager Internal Audit and Risk Management for EMEA and Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management for LATAM. Angela joined EBU in 2009 as the Head of Internal Audit, where they currently hold the position.

Angela Alves holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on Corporate Governance. Angela obtained this degree from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo. In terms of certifications, they have completed a program on "Corporate Governance: Maximize Your Effectiveness in the Boardroom" from Wharton Executive Education. Additionally, they have obtained the CIA certification from the IIA.
