Chuck McGann has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Chuck has worked as an EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) Master Instructor, where they educated CISOs and aspiring CISOs on how to integrate technology into mainstream business leadership. Chuck also worked as an Instructor at Learning Tree International, providing risk and vulnerability management training to commercial and government clients.

In addition, McGann served as a Senior Security Advisor at Aligned Technology Group, where they provided support for contract efforts regarding cybersecurity in business environments. Chuck also launched their own consulting group, McGann Consulting Group, in 2017, specializing in delivering cybersecurity expertise and support to large commercial enterprises. Chuck'sconsulting work focused on NIST SP800-171 compliance for handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), as well as providing support for multi-million dollar contract pursuits.

McGann's career also includes work with notable organizations such as (ISC)², where they served as a U.S. Government Advisory Council member and former Co-Chair of the Government Advisory Board on Cybersecurity. Chuck was also a Chief Cyber Strategist and Director at Salient CRGT, leading the Cyber Security Center for Innovation & Growth.

Furthermore, McGann served as a Technology Advisory Board Member at GTRA Government Technology Research Alliance, where they evaluated technology offerings for federal agencies and spoke at conferences. Chuck has extensive experience working with the United States Postal Service (USPS), including roles as a Corporate Information Security Officer (CISO), Manager of National Information Systems Security, Technical Services Manager - Security, Distributed Systems Security Specialist, and Business Project Leader.

Prior to their tenure at USPS, McGann was a DSCD Program Manager at the US Postal Service, responsible for the testing and certification of various applications supporting the Marketing and Enabling portfolios.

Through their work experience, Chuck McGann has developed a deep understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, NIST compliance, and business leadership in the technology field.

Chuck McGann has a diverse education history with a focus on business administration, management, and operations. Chuck completed the USPS Executive Leadership Program from 2004 to 2007, earning an Executive MBA degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations. Before that, they started an MBA program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1994, but did not complete the degree. McGann obtained a BGS degree in IT/Management/Marketing from the same university from 1988 to 1992.

In addition to their formal education, McGann has also obtained various certifications. In 2017, they became a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) from the EC-Council. In 2012, they achieved the Lean Six Sigma - Executive Green Belt certification from the Lean Six Sigma Institute. Other certifications include Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2004, Information Assurance Methodology (IAM) from the National Security Agency in 2003, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2002.
