Stuart Blackie

Stuart Blackie is a seasoned Risk Management professional with over 30 years of experience in the built environment, building construction, and fire safety/protection. Currently serving as Principal Risk Management Surveyor at Ecclesiastical Insurance Group since October 2021, Stuart previously held various roles at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd from September 2005 to November 2021, culminating in the position of Technical Team Leader. Prior positions include Fire Safety Manager at Education Leeds (2002-2005) and Calderdale Council (1999-2002), along with a decade as Building Control Surveyor at Leeds City Council (1990-1999). Stuart is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Institution of Fire Engineers, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards in fire safety and risk management.
