Carsten Buchwald

Dr. Carsten Buchwald has extensive work experience in the field of taxation, beginning with their role as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter/Doktorand at Helmut Schmidt Universität - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg in 2002. In 2008, they moved to PwC, where they worked as an Associate Indirect Tax. In 2010, they joined PAREXEL Deutschland GmbH as a Manager Business Tax, followed by a role as Tax Manager at Rolls-Royce in 2015. Dr. Carsten is currently employed as the Head of VAT Consulting at eClear | TaxFinTech, a position they have held since 2021.

Dr. Carsten Buchwald began their education in 1996 when they attended the University of Bayreuth and earned their Vordiplom in Betriebswirtschaft. Dr. Carsten then moved on to the University of Hamburg where they earned their Diplom-Kaufmann in Betriebswirtschaft with a focus on Steuerlehre, Industriebetriebslehre, and Verkehrswissenschaft in 2002. Finally, Dr. Carsten Buchwald earned their Doktor der Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften (Dr. rer. pol.) from the Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg in 2006, with a focus on Betriebswirtschaftliche Steuerlehre.
