David Rich

David Rich is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in the orthopaedics field. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Eclipse Orthopaedics LLC since November 2015, David leads the development of innovative technologies for orthopaedic trauma applications. Previously, David worked as a Principal Engineer at Zimmer from June 2006 to October 2013, focusing on sensor-based electronic systems for orthopaedic surgical instruments and implants. Earlier in their career, David held the position of Staff Engineer at Delphi Corp. for two decades, specializing in microelectrical mechanical systems (MEMS), sensors, and electronic systems. David holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluid and Thermal Science from Purdue University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
