Office of the CTO - Strategy, Speaking, Threat Landscape at Eclypsium

Scott Scheferman has a strong background in cybersecurity and has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Scott currently works at Eclypsium, Inc. as part of the Office of the CTO, where they focus on raising strategic awareness and providing deep insights into cyber threats targeting x86 and network devices at the firmware and platform level. Scott is responsible for providing internal strategic direction, industry insight, threat intelligence, and related research and reports. Scott also takes on external responsibilities, addressing the broader industry, media, and national leadership through keynote addresses, writing, panel discussions, podcasts, and social media.

Prior to their current role, Scott worked at Armanda Intelligence LLC, where they served as the owner, founder, and chief strategist. Scott provided exceptional advisory services, mentorship, and inspiration to a select group of clientele in the cyber community. Their expertise was in threat intelligence, vulnerability intelligence, GTM strategy, and strategic V-CISO advice.

Before that, Scott worked at SentinelOne as a principal cyber strategist, where they provided strategic advice, thought leadership, and a renewed perspective on approaching cyber threats. Scott engaged directly with clients, spoke at industry venues, authored thought pieces, and interacted with press and media journalists.

Scott also worked at Cylance Inc. as a senior director of global services and strategic advisor. Scott focused on disruptive thought leadership, threat intelligence sharing, incident response client engagement, and directing the company's expert professional services team. Scott also served as the director of global consulting, where they oversaw all client engagements in the region and provided executive-level briefings.

Additionally, Scott had roles at FireEye, Inc. as a solutions architect in the Office of the CTO, Mandiant as a solutions architect working with state, local, and education verticals, Sentek Global as a principal security consultant leading a team of cyber security risk liaisons, Northrop Grumman as a senior security analyst overseeing IA projects, NT OBJECTives, Inc. as a product manager responsible for product design and security, and Booz Allen Hamilton as a senior security analyst providing consulting services to federal customers.

Throughout their career, Scott has demonstrated a commitment to thought leadership, strategic advisory, and providing insights into the evolving cyber threat landscape.

Scott Scheferman obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Philosophy (dual major) from Ripon College, where they studied from 1992 to 1995. In addition, they received the Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) certification from EC Council in January 2003, and the CISSP certification from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium in January 2002.
