Lynn Alvarez

Lynn Alvarez has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Lynn started their career in 1999 as a Senior Program Officer at The California Endowment. Lynn then worked as a Consultant at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and the Weingart Foundation. In 2008, they joined the Carl and Roberta Deutsch Foundation as a Consultant and remained in that role until 2019. During that time, they also worked as a Project Manager at the Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative from 2013 to 2014. In 2011, they became a Commissioner and Vice President at the City of Los Angeles Board of Recreation and Park Commissioners. Currently, Lynn Alvarez holds the position of Vice President of Programs and Strategy at ECMC Foundation.

Lynn Alvarez obtained their Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1978 to 1981. Lynn then pursued their Juris Doctor (JD) degree at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, completing it from 1981 to 1984.
