Karen McQuinn Sphr

Karen McQuinn, SPHR, MBA has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Karen began their career at Lowe's Companies, Inc. in 2000 as a Sr. Analyst-Risk & Insurance. In this role, they worked on analyzing and managing risks and insurance matters for the company. Karen then moved on to ECMD in 2004, where they served as the VP of Human Resources. In this position, Karen was responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR/Payroll Department, managing the hiring process, maintaining employee files, coordinating employee mailings, and overseeing payroll functions. Additionally, they were in charge of ensuring compliance with the company's drug testing policy.

Karen McQuinn, SPHR, MBA holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in Human Resources from Gardner-Webb University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the same institution from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, Karen obtained an Associate's degree in Office Systems Technology from Wilkes Community College from 1996 to 1998.

In terms of certifications, Karen has achieved the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from HRCI in July 2013. Karen also obtained the certification of SHRM-SCP from SHRM in January 2015. Furthermore, Karen is a North Carolina Notary Public, which they obtained from the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State in May 2001.
