Faranak Sharifi

Faranak Sharifi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2015, they worked as an Admission's Associate at Canada's Wonderland. From 2016 to 2017, they served as a Customer Experience Representative at Indigo Books & Music, focusing on customer service and product knowledge. In 2018, they worked as a Programming Instructor at Kids Great Minds, teaching young adults programming languages and concepts. Faranak also served as a Teaching Assistant for Linear Algebra at Queen's University during the same year. In 2019, Faranak held two roles at Queen's University, working as a Teaching Assistant for Web Development and Creative Entrepreneurship. Faranak also interned at the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre, where they co-founded a venture called Cromble and won a pitch competition prize. In 2020, they became a Site Reliability Engineer Intern at ecobee, eventually transitioning to an Associate Site Reliability Engineer role in 2021. Currently, they are employed as a Site Reliability Engineer at ecobee.

Faranak Sharifi obtained a High School Diploma from Bayview Secondary School from 2013 to 2017. Faranak then attended Queen's University from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Computing degree in the field of Software. Additionally, Faranak has obtained several certifications including "Kubernetes: Package Management with Helm" from LinkedIn in February 2021, "Learning Docker" from LinkedIn in December 2020, "Learning Kubernetes" from LinkedIn in December 2020, "Learning Terraform" from LinkedIn in October 2020, "Microservices Foundations" from LinkedIn in September 2020, and "Linux System Engineer: Bash Shell Scripting for Automation" from LinkedIn in May 2020.
