Richard de Borst has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. From 2000 to 2008, they were the Channel Marketing Manager at Sony Mobile Communications. Richard then moved on to become the Manager Trade Marketing Benelux at LG Electronics Mobile Division from 2008 to 2010. From 2010 to 2013, Richard worked at T-Mobile Netherlands BV as the Manager Indirect Consumer Sales and was a member of the Sales Management Team and T-Mobile Netherlands Leadership Team. In 2013, they became the Sales Manager IT/Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Vice President of Sales, Channel Marketing & Logistics and Director Consumer Business Group, Netherlands Representative Office at Huawei Technologies. In 2016, Richard took on the role of Ambassador at the Dirk Kuyt Foundation. Most recently, they were the Director of BeNeLux at Xiaomi Technology from 2021 to 2022.

Richard de Borst attended Dom Camara Hoogvliet Zalmplaat before completing their H.A.V.O. in 1986-1991 with a focus on English, Economics I and II, Mathematics, and History. Richard then attended NIMA Sales A in 2001-2002 and received a Nima-sales A ISBW degree in Sales. Richard continued their education at Account Management in 2002-2003 and received an ISBW degree in Account Management. After that, they attended Nima Marketing A in 2004-2005 and received a Nima degree in Marketing. In 2013, they completed the ISBW Post-HBO Finance for Non Financials course in Finance, General. Finally, they attended a Senior Management Course in Beijing, China in 2016.
