Prior roles include a scientific position at ENS Lyon since 1999 and a postdoctoral fellowship at INSERM from 1994 to 2001, where investigations focused on host-pathogen interactions. Pascal Leblanc holds a PhD in transposable elements, retrotransposons, and retroviruses from Université d'Auvergne and completed earlier studies leading to a DEUG to DEA degree at Université Blaise Pascal.
