VP Education And Human Resources at Ecological Society of America

Carmen Cid is currently serving as the Vice President of Education and Human Resources at the Ecological Society of America, a position held since August 2021. Prior to this role, Carmen Cid spent over three decades at Eastern Connecticut State University, where achievements included serving as the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, leadership in the NSF-ADVANCE grant as Co-PI, and directing the Project Compass student retention program for the Nellie Mae Foundation. Carmen Cid also held the position of Biology Department Chair and is a Professor of Ecology. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Plant Ecology from Michigan State University, an M.S. in Botany from The Ohio State University, and a B.A. in Biology from New York University.
