Kezito Makuni

Kezito Makuni has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Kezito began their career in 1991 at the Zimbabwe Posts and Telecommunications Corporation, where they served as a Section Manager and later as a Professional Engineer. In 2001, they joined Econet Wireless Nigeria as the Chief Engineer for Transmission Planning and Development.

In 2002, Kezito became the Chief Technical Officer for Econet Ezicel Lesotho. After that, they joined Econet Wireless Group as the Chief Technical Officer and played a crucial role in the development and implementation of technical strategies.

From 2007 to 2008, Kezito worked at Ericsson as a Managed Services Commercial Solutions Manager, providing sales support and overseeing the design and delivery of managed services.

In 2008, Kezito joined Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, where they held various roles. Kezito served as the Projects Director from 2008 to 2010 and then became the Technical Director until 2020. Kezito currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at Econet Wireless Zimbabwe since April 2020.

Overall, Kezito Makuni has demonstrated expertise in technical and managerial positions within the telecommunications industry, with a strong focus on managing services and technical operations.

Kezito Makuni obtained a BSc. (Hons.) Engineering in Electrical and Electronic from the University of Zimbabwe from 1987 to 1991. Later, they pursued an MBA in General Business Management from the same university between 1996 and 1999. In addition to their formal education, Kezito Makuni has also obtained certifications in "Securing the IoT: Privacy" and "Design Thinking: Understanding the Process" from LinkedIn in 2018.
