Chris Ferris

Chris Ferris is the Senior Economist at Economic Development Winnipeg. Chris has been with the organization since August 2017 and in their current role since February 2021. Prior to their current role, they served as the Manager of Enterprise Content.

Chris is a highly skilled economist with a passion for helping businesses grow and thrive. In their role as Senior Economist, they provide analysis and advice on a variety of economic issues to help guide the organization's work. As Manager of Enterprise Content, they led the successful implementation of SharePoint and Teams, providing EDW with a modern and user-friendly platform for collaboration.

Chris is dedicated to their work and is constantly looking for ways to improve the organization's services. Chris is a valuable member of the team and has contributed greatly to the success of Economic Development Winnipeg.

Chris Ferris has a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Manitoba, an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Manitoba, and a Diploma in Business Information Systems from Herzing Career College. Chris also has a High School diploma from Elkhorn Collegiate Institute. Additionally, Chris has received certification from DataCamp in Introduction to R (edX 1.1), Introduction to R (edX 1.2), Introduction to R (edX 2.1), Introduction to R (edX 2.2), Introduction to R (edX 2.3), Introduction to R (edX 3.1), Introduction to R (edX 3.2), Introduction to R (edX 3.3), Introduction to R (edX 4.1), Introduction to R (edX 5.1), and Introduction to R (edX 5.2).
