Carlos Moreno

Senior Director, Center for Learning & Practice at Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath)

Carlos Moreno is the Director of Mobility Mentoring & Programs at Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath). Carlos has dedicated their career to assisting low income adults with budgeting, banking, asset development, credit score management, debt reduction and management, and financial planning for the future.

Prior to their current position, Carlos was a Financial Specialist with EMPath from June 2015 to December 2016. In this role, Carlos provided personal financial coaching to EMPath clients.

Before joining EMPath, Carlos was a Bank Teller / Customer Service Representative with HarborOne Bank from September 2010 to August 2013. As a Teller and Customer Service Representative, Carlos gained skills in receiving and processing all banking transactions, by following the bank’s policies and procedures, in compliance with FDIC regulations. Carlos also excelled in sales by cross selling services to meet members financial requirements. Carlos has a proven record of maintaining, verifying, and balancing allocated cash drawer more than $10,000/day in cash drawers, money orders, cashier checks, and vault.

Carlos’s commitment to helping others achieve financial stability and mobility is evident in their work history and they continue to make a positive impact in the lives of those they work with at EMPath.

Moreno's educational career includes a Bachelor of Commerce from Regis College with a focus in finance.

They are on a team with Chelsea Sedani - Director of Advocacy, Sara Vonhold - Deputy Director of Capacity Building, and Jennifer Lowe - VP of Shared Learning & Member Networks. Their manager is Kim Janey, President & CEO. Some direct reports include Jonah Harris - Mobility Mentor, Bryna Ramsey - Senior Mobility Mentor, and Barbara Louis - Education Specialist, Mobility Mentoring Center.
