Abu Kalam

Abu Kalam currently serves as an Empire Program Assistant at the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc., where responsibilities include planning age-appropriate activities to promote the social, emotional, and academic development of middle school students. Additionally, Abu Kalam tutors economically disadvantaged college students in economics at Stony Brook University and has co-founded the Future Teachers Association, acting as Treasurer to facilitate events and funding for aspiring educators. As Community Service Director for the American Marketing Association at Stony Brook University, event coordination and partnership development with local businesses are primary functions. Previous experience includes an internship with Jackie Gordon's Campaign for Congress, focusing on voter outreach and support analysis. Abu Kalam is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Stony Brook University, with an expected graduation date in May 2026.
