Gijs Luyt

Gijs Luyt has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal field. Gijs currently serves as an Independent Legal Counsel, offering their expertise in contracts, corporate law, and real estate. In this role, they support both Dutch and international clients with their transactions, operations, and corporate housekeeping. Gijs has also worked as a Legal Counsel in various positions, including at DLA Piper, Allianz Partners, and The Student Hotel. During these assignments, they provided legal advice and assistance in areas such as real estate, commercial contracting, M&A, and operations. Prior to that, they held the position of Business Unit Manager Legal at VISTA, where their responsibilities involved managing the performance of the legal team and client portfolio. Additionally, Gijs gained valuable experience at top-tier law firms such as Houthoff, specializing in property and finance transactions, and NautaDutilh, where they completed an internship.

Gijs Luyt's education history begins with their attendance at Maerlant Lyceum Den Haag from 1996-2002, where they obtained their VWO degree. Following this, they proceeded to Utrecht University, where they pursued a master's degree in civil law from 2002-2007. Lastly, they attended Grotius Academie until 2016, specializing in Dutch and International Contract Law.
