Dougal Heap

Dougal Heap has a diverse background in the fields of technology, carbon research, and renewable energy. Dougal most recently served as the Head of Technology Based Solutions at ecosecurities. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager at Aspiration, focusing on carbon research. Dougal also held positions at Blue Planet Systems, where they served as the Director of Mineralized CO2 Commercialization and as a Product Manager. Dougal's experience also includes roles at Carbon8 Systems as a Technical Program Manager and Research Technician, as well as at Ecuity Consulting LLP as an Energy & Climate Analyst. Dougal began their career as a Lead Researcher at the University of Leicester and a Research Assistant at Researchcraft Limited.

Dougal Heap has a strong educational background in the field of Geography. Dougal attended Lawrence Sheriff School from 2008 to 2012 where they obtained their A Level degree in Geography, Biology, History, and French. Following this, Dougal attended Lancaster University from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Geography. In 2013, they also had the opportunity to study at Oregon State University for a year, earning a Bachelor's degree in Geography. Furthermore, Dougal obtained a certification in CCSx: Climate Change: Carbon Capture and Storage from The University of Edinburgh in June 2020, demonstrating their continuous interest and specialization in environmental studies.
