Marcela Vera

Marcela Vera is a NbS and Climate Finance Expert at ECOTIERRA since December 2016, specializing in the design and development of greenhouse gas emission reduction projects within the forestry sector. Responsibilities include planning forest inventories to estimate carbon stocks in both natural forests and plantations. Prior experience includes roles as a Freelance Consultant and Project Engineer at MGM Innova Group from January 2011 to December 2016, focusing on technical activities related to GHG emissions reduction. Marcela also served as a Consultant at the Forestry Consulting Group from 2014 to 2016 and as a Project Assistant for USAID from January 2009 to February 2010. Educational qualifications encompass a Master's degree in Environment and Sustainable Development from Université de Montréal and a degree in Forestry Engineering with a focus on Project Management from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
