Carissa Chesnut

Carissa Chesnut is a seasoned Human Resources professional with extensive experience across multiple healthcare organizations. Currently serving as a Human Resources Executive at ECPI University since June 2021, Carissa previously held the position of Human Resources Director at Sentara Healthcare, overseeing HR operations for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Sentara Heart Hospital, and Sentara College. Prior roles include Human Resources Manager at Central Carolina Hospital, where leadership of the HR team was paramount, and over a decade at University of Iowa Health Care, where responsibilities varied from talent sourcing to administrative oversight in nursing. Carissa holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dubuque and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Iowa.
