Cierra Buckman

Cierra Buckman has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical research and grants administration. Cierra has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise and leadership abilities.

Starting in 2014, Cierra worked as a Sr. Research Program Coordinator at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Cierra effectively coordinated research programs until their departure in June 2017.

In 2017, Cierra joined The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Cierra began as a Division Research Specialist in the Department of Pediatrics before being promoted to Associate Director of Research. Later, they became the Director of Research Administration, overseeing research activities in the department. Between June 2022 and July 2023, they served as the Interim Director of the Office of Clinical Trials, contributing to the success of clinical research initiatives.

In 2023, Cierra joined ECU Health as the Interim Director of the Center for Research and Grants. Within a few months, they were promoted to the role of Sr. Director, leading the integrated Office of Clinical Research. Cierra'sresponsibilities include designing and implementing a central infrastructure to support the entire clinical enterprise.

Cierra Buckman completed their education with a Master's Degree in Health Sciences from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Health Sciences from Francis Marion University.
