Mncane Mthunzi

Chief Operations Officer at Edcon

Mncane Mthunzi is the current Chief Operations Officer at Edcon. Prior to this, Mthunzi served as the President of the Black Management Forum from October 2015 to October 2018. The Black Management Forum is a non-racial, thought leadership organisation founded in 1976 with the main purpose of developing managerial leadership and influencing socio-economic transformation of South Africa. Mthunzi has also held the position of Builders Superstore Director at Massmart from October 2014 to April 2019. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the operations of Builder stores around the country.

Mncane Mthunzi has completed an Advanced Management Programme from Harvard Business School. Mncane has also completed a Master of Commerce in Organizational Leadership from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Mncane is currently a PhD candidate in Organizational Leadership at Wits Business School.

They work with Shane Van Niekerk - Chief Executive - Jet, Sibusiso Nkabinde - Chief Information Officer, and Scott Brown - Chief Restructuring Officer & Acting CFO. Their manager is Grant Pattison, CEO & Director.
