Katie Canuette has had a varied work experience. Katie started as a Middle School Science Teacher for Oklahoma City Public Schools in 2013, then moved to Teach For America as a Teacher Leader Development Coach and '13 Oklahoma TFA Corps Member in the same year. In 2015, they became a Middle School Science Teacher & Mentor Teacher for Coney Island Prep. Katie then moved to KIPP Philadelphia Schools in 2017 as a Biology Teacher. In 2018, they worked for Young Scholars Charter School as a Science Teacher and for Teach For America as an Applicant Reviewer. In 2019, they were a Curriculum Builder for Achievement First. In 2021, they became a Positive Behavior Support and MTSS Specialist for CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO CITY SCHOOLS. Finally, in 2022, they are currently working as an Admissions and Selection Manager for Urban Teachers.
Katie Canuette attended Rosary High School from 2005 to 2009. Katie then went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Gonzaga University in 2013. During their time at Gonzaga, they also completed a semester of study at Universidad de Granada in 2012, focusing on Spanish Language and Literature.
