Bruce Yates

Bruce Yates has over 40 years of work experience in the financial industry. Bruce began their career as a Registered Representative at Merrill Lynch from 1979 to 1982. Bruce then worked as a Financial Consultant at Shearson American Express from 1982 to 1984. In 1984, Bruce founded their own company, Appropriate Balance Financial Services, Inc., where they served as President and provided wealth management and financial planning services to clients across multiple states. Bruce joined Viridian Advisors in 2017 as a Founding Partner and Financial Advisor, specializing in helping clients achieve financial balance and pursuing their passion for underwater photography. Bruce is currently working as the Director of Financial Planning at Edelman Financial Engines, a position they started in 2021.

Bruce Yates attended Brigham Young University from 1973 to 1977. Bruce later pursued further education at the Donald T. Regan School of Advanced Financial Management, where they received a certification as a Financial Manager in 1982.
