Darren Smith

Darren Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in renewable energy, currently serving as Senior Asset Manager at EDF Renewables North America since March 2006. Throughout the tenure, Darren has held various roles including Asset Manager and Regional Operations Manager, overseeing operational project management for multiple solar and wind projects across California and Nevada. Prior roles include Area Operations Manager, Project Manager, Site Supervisor, and Lead Technician for projects in multiple states and various renewable energy facilities. Prior to the renewable sector, Darren worked at Elliott Aviation in customer service. Darren holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Iowa State University, as well as two Associate's degrees in Aviation Maintenance Technology and Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Iowa Western Community College and Iowa Central Community College, respectively.
