Nicola Bailey

Nicola Bailey has a range of experience in the energy industry, with their most recent position being the Head of Data at EDF Trading since April 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Data Management Consultant at EDF Trading from October 2020 to April 2021.

Nicola also has a long tenure at EDF Energy, where they held various roles including Head of Data Development from October 2018 to October 2020, Data Programme Lead from September 2015 to October 2018, Commercial Director B2C from February 2012 to September 2015, Head of Hedging Strategy from May 2008 to February 2012, Head of Risk Analytics from November 2005 to May 2008, Operational and Market Risk Manager from January 2004 to October 2005, and Senior Analyst Market Risk from July 2001 to December 2003.

Before joining EDF Energy, Nicola worked as a Wholesale Market Analyst at Mighty River Power from July 1999 to June 2001.

Nicola Bailey began their education journey in 1994 at The University of Auckland, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Nicola successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. Continuing their academic pursuits, they went on to pursue a Masters degree in Civil Engineering at the same university, starting in 1998 and completing it in 1999.

In 2002, Nicola chose to diversify their educational background by enrolling in Birkbeck, University of London. Nicola pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance for the duration of one academic year, concluding their studies in 2003. Through this program, they deepened their knowledge and expertise in the field of Finance.

Throughout their education history, Nicola focused primarily on Civil Engineering, completing both a Bachelor's degree and a Masters degree in the field. In 2003, they expanded their skill set by obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance from Birkbeck, University of London.
