Roger Cheng

Roger Cheng has a diverse work experience in the energy trading industry. Roger is currently the Head of Texas Gas Trading at EDF Trading since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Trader and Senior Asset Manager at EDF Trading from September 2021 to February 2023. Before joining EDF Trading, Roger Cheng worked at Pacific Gas and Electric Company as an Expert Transmission Gas Trader and Senior Transmission Gas Trader from November 2013 to April 2019. Roger also gained experience at BG Group as a Lead Energy Marketing Advisor - Northeast Logistics and Optimization from May 2010 to October 2013, and at Iberdrola as a Natural Gas Trader from May 2009 to November 2009. Roger Cheng began their career at Masefield as a Natural Gas Trader / Logistics from June 2006 to May 2009, and as a Trading Analyst from March 2006 to June 2006. Roger also worked as a Broker Assistant at Choice! Energy Services from November 2005 to March 2006 and as an Oil/Gas IT Consultant at Advanced Networking Inc. from May 2004 to November 2005.

Roger Cheng pursued their education with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Roger attended the university from 2000 to 2004. Following this, Roger pursued higher education and obtained their Masters in Business Administration degree from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business from 2011 to 2013.
