Gregg Newby

Gregg Newby has extensive work experience in various industries. Gregg began their professional journey as an Arabic Linguist in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 1998. Following this, they worked as a Historian in the Memphis Public Library's Memphis Room from 2001 to 2007. Gregg then joined Optum as a Medical Writer from 2009 to 2011. Simultaneously, from 2005 to 2012, they served as an Adjunct Professor of U.S. History at the University of Memphis. In 2014, Gregg became the Director of Content at EdgeTheory, where they devise digital marketing strategies, spearheads targeted marketing campaigns, and creates original content. Overall, Gregg has a diverse background with experience in language, history, and marketing.

Gregg Newby earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College, where they attended from 1986 to 1991. Gregg later pursued language proficiency in Arabic at the Defense Language Institute between 1992 and 1994. Lastly, Newby obtained a Master of Arts degree in History from the University of Mississippi, where they studied from 1998 to 2000.
