Jennifer G. Smith, Esq., CISSP, CIPP-US, currently serves as Associate General Counsel for Privacy-Security & Product at Edifecs, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jennifer was Senior Legal Counsel for Verizon Business Group from August 2019 to August 2023, where responsibilities included supporting the Public Sector legal team, focusing on data and security operations compliance. Jennifer's extensive experience also includes serving as Sr. Director of Data Governance & Analytics at the American Society of Clinical Oncology, where leadership in Information Governance and data protection was vital. Jennifer has held various significant roles in privacy and security, including positions at Special Counsel, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Lockton Companies, Marsh USA Inc., Greenberg Traurig, and Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, as well as earning degrees from Florida State University and Fordham University School of Law.
